Here's some information to help you in the recruitment process


Applying for any of our jobs is a simple three step process.

Please set aside 10-15 minutes of your time before you start because we like to gather as much information as we can.

Below is some further information to guide you in the recruitment and selection process.

Use the search box to find the position you are interested in

You can do this by either entering a reference number (if you have seen the position advertised) or by entering a keyword. Alternatively, if you want to view all our current job listings simply click on the Vacancies tab above.

We wil ask you to fill in a short questionnaire to we can gain a little more information about you in order to process your application more efficently.

Upload your CV

Simply upload your CV onto our system following the easy to follow instructions. 

Recruitment and selection procedure

In submitting your application you will need to submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) for each position applied for. Your CV should contain the following:

  • Your full employment history (most recent position first);
  • Your education, training and qualifications which are relevant to the position;
  • Specific skills, strengths, competencies and abilities relevant to the position; and
  • Any other relevant information and details of experience.

A short list of applicants will be selected for the first interview.

Applicants will be given reasonable notice for the first interview.

Security clearance

Any offer of employment by Revera is made subject to the candidate successfully obtaining a Revera security clearance to a level appropriate for the position.  This includes, but is not limited to, a satisfactory Ministry of Justice criminal conviction check and proof they have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.  

It is highly desired that candidates are New Zealand citizens however all chosen candidate must provide to Revera their current  Passport and/or New Zealand visa which Revera will retain a copy of.

The chosen candidate should not resign from their current role if they believe they may not be able to satisfy these requirements.  Human Resources will provide the chosen candidate with assistance with this security vetting process.

Qualification verification

Where a job description states a particular qualification is essential or required, we may ask to see copies of the qualification certification and retain copies, or ask for your written authorisation (as outlined on the application form) to contact the relevant institution to verify any qualifications you have listed as having obtained.

Whānau support

All candidates who are invited to interview are welcome to bring Whānau or a support person or group to their interview.  Please advise the person who contacts you to arrange your interview if you intend to do this so the necessary arrangements are made.


Please provide the names and full contact details of three recent referees who can substantiate your suitability for this position. Please note that Revera reserves the right to request additional referees if required.

Unless you are just entering or re-entering the workforce, at least one referee should be your current manager, or should have worked closely with you, and be able to give work related information.

Referees will not be contacted without further discussion with you and are generally contacted just prior to the offer stage of the process.

Health issues

The chosen candidate will be asked to advise of any health issues to assist Revera to fulfil its obligations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Act 1992.  These Acts require that where possible Revera should reasonably accommodate applicants with relevant health issues.

Privacy provisions

Under the Privacy Act 1993, all information given will be treated as confidential and will be made available only to those involved in the recruitment and selection process. You have right of access to personal information and also to seek any correction you think necessary to ensure accuracy.

Revera will not return any documents sent with applications.

Offer of employment and notifying unsuccessful applicants

The chosen candidate will be offered the position as soon as possible after the completion of all interviews.  A formal offer of employment will be made in writing.  This offer is always subject to, not not limited to, a person receiving an appropriate Revera security clearance as outlined above.  Independent advice should be sought on any offer of employment.

All unsuccessful applicants will be advised in writing if their application was unsuccessful.
